Our Progress
Much has happened since my last update 9 months ago, not including the new WordPress theme!
We completed quite a bit of work on the exterior. We decided on Dutch Boy “Natural Desert D11-3″ for the trim with Ralph Lauren“Takahe TH37″ for the wood-colored accents.
Exterior:
Along with all the painting, we also stripped and restored the porch floor:
The original windows are also all restored and beautiful with spring bronze weatherstripping:
On the interior, quite a bit of work has also been done.
The main floor have beautiful smooth wall finish. I’ve painted the hall and two bedrooms in preparation to put our restored trim back up.
Front Bedroom (Dawn’s future office):
Paint color: Farrow & Ball “Castle Grey”
Back Bedroom (Guest Room):
Paint color: Benjamin Moore “Plymouth Rock”
Hallway:
Paint color: Benjamin Moore “Shaker Gray”
But best of all is that we stripped the fireplace!
I’m going to be writing more detailed entries on the process of some of these projects, so stay tuned.

Your house is beautiful. Where do you find the time to do it all? You are quite an amazing young woman.
So why not pictures of your bathrooms. I’m still dying to see them since you said they were going to be on HGTV. I could actually see your whole house on one of there shows.
Still waiting on HGTV. Not sure if we fit into the guidelines they were looking for comparison homes. :)
What a great looking house. Did you do all of that work yourselves? You are more brave than I am. I’m not sure I would be able to keep my sanity through it all. My husband and I ended up hiring a couple contractors to do our home projects. Great post though, that house looks amazing. Do you have some before and after shots?

It’s actually vinyl. We had Miller Paint (Sandy location) in Portland custom match a piece of it so we could match our dormer and garage siding. The color code they saved for it is 08HW0933, but not sure that would help much if you are out of state.
I LoVE your house!! It gives me hope (as I am chest deep in a remodel/gut job)! I noticed that you bought the cast iron tub from rejuvenation and I was wondering how it is holding up? I havent seen one in person and am hesitating buying it – can you tell me if you like it? The good and/or the bad? Do you know how it compares to Sign of the Crab tubs? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Pam, since Rejuvenation sold out to Williams Sonoma, I think they discontinued their tubs and bath fixtures. However, I think their tubs may just have been rebranded Sign of the Crab tubs before. Their products can’t be beat. We bought the Sign of the Crab faucet and plumbing fixtures from ClawfootClassics.com online and were very pleased.
