We’ve put together some virtual tours of our restored living room and dining room. We still need to get the before and after shots compiled, but this will show you how the rooms look today.
Since we don’t own a 360-degree camera robot that real estate agents pay for access to, we had to look for some cool DIY solutions. The best tour was made with Microsoft PhotoSynth compiled from 280 different photos. You will need Microsoft Silverlight installed to view this type of tour, but it really is very cool with the level of movement around the rooms and the ability to zoom in and view the tour in full screen. It’s kind of trippy!
We also made some simple flash tours, which are a bit more than a 180-degree panorama. These were more complicated to create and they are still a bit rough as far as the stitching. They will have to do for those who don’t have access to download Microsoft Silverlight.
